Code of Conduct & Festival Policies

Berks Pride Fest is a private, ticketed community event produced by Reading Pride Celebration. The following policies are in place to ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for all attendees. By entering the festival grounds, you agree to comply with these policies.

We want everyone to have an incredible Pride experience. Please review the information below before attending.

Berks Pride Fest is a safe and welcoming space for people of all ages.

Reading Pride Celebration reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual who violates festival policies. Festival management retains sole discretion in determining violations and appropriate enforcement actions.

The following behaviors are not permitted:

  • Disorderly, disruptive, abusive, or threatening behavior
  • Harassment or discrimination of any kind
  • Use of illegal drugs or substances
  • Smoking, vaping, or marijuana use outside designated areas
  • Outside alcohol
  • Full nudity (this is an all-ages event)
  • Any action deemed unsafe or inappropriate by festival management

Tickets are non-refundable. Individuals removed from the festival will not be permitted to return.

We celebrate love, authenticity, and inclusion — and expect the same respect from everyone in attendance.

For the safety of our community, entry into the festival constitutes consent to reasonable inspection of bags and personal items.

Prohibited Items

The following items are NOT allowed:

  • Weapons of any kind
  • Outside food or beverages (including alcohol)
  • Illegal drugs or substances
  • Drones or unmanned aerial devices
  • Sound amplification devices
  • Flyers, pamphlets, or materials for distribution

Permitted Items

You may bring:

  • Clear or small bags, purses, wallets, or fanny packs
  • Medically necessary bags, food, beverages, or devices
  • Baby bags and strollers
  • Folding chairs, picnic blankets, and umbrellas
  • Small containers of sunscreen and bug spray
  • Empty reusable water bottles

Your safety is our priority.

  • Accessibility shuttles are available for individuals with mobility challenges.
  • Service animals are permitted in accordance with ADA guidelines.
  • This is a rain-or-shine event — please plan accordingly.
  • Stay hydrated and use sun protection.

In case of emergency, notify the nearest volunteer or visit the Information Tent immediately.

If you need assistance at any time, our volunteers are here to help.

Pets are welcome with responsible supervision.

  • All pets must be leashed at all times.
  • Aggressive or exotic animals are not permitted.
  • Owners must clean up after their pets.
  • Please keep pets cool and hydrated.

Service animals are always permitted.

Pride-themed pet attire is encouraged — but optional!

While we respect the right to free speech, Berks Pride Fest is a private event.

  • Protesters are not permitted inside festival grounds.
  • Protest activity must remain in designated public areas as directed by local authorities.
  • Entrance and exit points may not be blocked or disrupted.
  • Sound amplification devices and distribution of materials within festival grounds are not permitted.

Festival management may coordinate with local law enforcement if activity becomes disruptive or unsafe.

Attendees are encouraged not to engage and to notify a volunteer if needed.
